Professor Bernard Quatermass of the 'British Experimental Rocket Group' finds himself involved in a variety of out-of-this-world events - using his experience in the fields of science, cosmology and extraordinary phenomena to change the outcome. Created by the influential writer Nigel Kneale, the Quatermass serials took the early British viewer on adult science fiction journeys, combining present day insights and paranoia with terrible fictional situations.
